Welcome to Cracker Jack Love. I'm both collector and maker of all things Cracker Jack related, I'll be sharing plenty. The collecting started after my brother Timmy died, I needed to pull myself out of my depression and started making toy sculptures, things that made me happy and reminded my of my childhood at the suggestion of my beautiful daughter.
My earliest memory of cracker jack toys was when I live in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Mom would buy us , me and my siblings crackers jacks as a treat, inside the box was a prize, in those days the prizes were pretty special. I had two outfits I loved to wear, one was sailors outfit, the other my lederhosen's. They had a little zippered pouch on the suspender part, I would keep my little prizes there to keep them safe form my siblings. They were so precious to me, trinkets, but so special.
A couple of years ago, my two younger brothers went on a African adventure with their closest friends. Prior to leaving we made cracker jack necklaces for them to take a along and that reignited my love for Cracker Jacks. I make them and sell on Etsy:
